Adult Education

We encourage all age groups to learn and grow during their faith journeys. We offer comprehensive programs for adults and seniors to pursue life-long learning. Below are a few of our sample offerings.

Bible Studies
A morning Bible study of the Chronological Bible in One Year  is held on Thursdays at 11:00 a.m.
An evening Bible study using Kergyma curriculum is held on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.

Friends Eating and Studying Together (FEAST)
FEAST is offered Thursdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm during February and March. The program includes study and lunch. Study programs include diverse offerings such as health and wellness, spiritual growth, world history discussions, and discovering our Sarasota community. Summer FEAST usually meets on Thursday evenings from mid-June through mid-August from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A potluck meal begins the evening, followed by age-appropriate and intergenerational learning opportunities.

Special Workshops and Classes
A variety of learning opportunities are offered throughout the year. Some are short-term, and others are on-going.  Examples include a monthly movie night, popcorn and discussion, a sacred conversation on race, reading the Quran, and guest presenters on environmental, and social justice issues.
