Christian Education - An Overview
The Board of Christian Education has created a task force whose purpose is to consider and implement a possible change in Christian Education. This possible change is to provide an hour of Christian Education as part of the Sunday worship experience. To assist the Task Force in carrying out its responsibilities, we are asking you to complete the survey. You can pick up the survey at church or download it here. Please return your survey to the chuch by May 1.

Programs for children and youth include Sunday School, mid-week- gatherings, retreats, work trips and adventures. In additional, there are opportunities to serve, have fun, and grow locally and regionally.
The nurturing of children and youth is a vital part of the ministry of our church. Through Christian education and fellowship opportunities, we seek to provide the best environment possible for our young members.
Church School
Classes are held for ages three through high school from September through May. Classes begin after the children's story in the 9:00 am service and finish at 10:10 am so that the young people may meet their parents in Fellowship Hall for the coffee hour, or the cookie hour as the children prefer to call it. During the summer worship schedule, classes begin after the children's story and end at 11:10 am.
Children in Worship
Children take part in the 9:00 am service in the winter and in the summer. They serve as acolytes and lead the congregation in the Call to Worship and the Prayer of Invocation. Youth are fully encouraged to participate as worship leaders in creative ways.
